Stoneware ceramics
I make unique pieces, thrown using stoneware clay and porcelain as well as animal sculptures. I look for originality in my work, the harmonic rhythm of the line, the splendour of the hues. My main influences come from the ancient lost colours of Egypt and Greece, from Arabic art and architecture, especially the Anglo-Indian and Middle Eastern style. The thrown pieces are fired in 3 steps in an electric kiln and glazed with a brightly coloured satin matte glaze with cobalt and copper. The third 700-degree firing is intended for gold, platinum and copper lustres
